This is the "Gotcha Day" layout for Maria's lifebook. It was actually on Mothers Day that she joined us. What a great gift!
I printed the text on pink vellum and adhered it to the color cardstock background with pink fasteners. The gift package charms (which are very, very thin, making them a good embellishment for a page) at the bottom are held on with the same fasteners that pin the vellum. The two on the photo at the top of the page are affixed with pink satin ribbon. I used a 1/16 hole punch to make holes all the way around the photo and then wove the pink ribbon all the way around, stopping to affix the gift package charms on two corners and the Gotcha Day shrinky embellishment in the upper left. I tied a little bow in the lower right, which is the corner in which I started, and a larger bow at the bottom. The ribbon for the bow at the bottom was looped through two holes that were punched at the bottom of the page.
