To do this layout, I trimmed the Chinese characters paper just a bit so that a full sheet paper behind it would be a mat. I adhered the vellum song lyrics over another cropped piece of Chinese characters paper and then onto a torn-edge sheet of cardstock with paper fasteners. Incidentally, on the second piece of characters paper, I stamped a "Love" symbol in a burgundy color to match the mat paper. I did this so it would be similar to the color and theme of the bead I put at the bottom.
The accent piece at the bottom was adhered by running the vellum through the Xyron machine and then just stuck it on the black cardstock mat. Along the bottom edge, I used a Chinese "love" bead strung on an organza ribbon. After I put the ribbon through the holes of the bead, I used glue dots to adhere the organza on the back side of the "Daughter" paper. |
