This layout was done by me. It describes the day when my daughter came home from Guatemala and shows a copy of her passport.
The title was done with the Sizzix lowercase serif alphabet, mounted on white cardstock and then trimmed for a shadow effect. The charms were mounted on two different color of postage stamp punch, one rotated to fit on top of the other with a starburst-type pattern. The charms at the top shows a US Passport, the second one shows an airplane going around the earth and the third shows a US flag. The charms were strung on a piece of ribbon and then were glued to the stamp punches for anchoring.
I was very surprised and pleased to find out that the maroon mulberry and purple floral papers (part of the Asian series from NRN) coordinate very well with the Guatemala fabric paper I have, so the matting of the journaling box and the stamp punches were done in those colors. I used a purple calligraphy pen for the journaling and used the Statue of Liberty girl from the Americana sticker sheet as embellishment. |
