This layout was done by me. It is a collage of photos that I received from a disposable camera I sent to Guatemala, taken at her second foster home. I was especially happy to see the one of Maria practicing her Latina dance moves -- she'd never learn that from me! :)
This layout allowed me to try a few more new things that I had seen done elsewhere. There are two photos in this collage that use part of the photo as an additional mat. So, after cropping the oval photo, I cut a cardstock mat one size larger and then the photo one size larger than that. So, the end result is the appearance of continuity from the original cropped photo to other parts of the picture that were not included in the first cut. I kind of like how it looks!
I also used a PaperShaper corner adorner to create a frame for the pictures in the lower left and upper right corners. Finally, I used a paper crimper that I purchased recently to create a dimensional mat to one photo and also to the "title oval" that is in the lower right corner.
For papers I used black cardstock and the maroon mulberry cardstock paper and did the writing on the black cardstock with a silver gel pen. |
