This layout was done by me. It describes what a visa is and why it is important, and also what we did on the morning of our visa appointment at the embassy.
The tags were punched from the same patterned paper that matted the photos. Memory wire was used to string the tags together (although string, yarn, fibers, beads, etc. could have been substituted) and the tags were adhered to the page with tape runner. Pastel spiral clips adorned the edge of each photo and were also used to accent the journaling block at the top of the page. The letters in "Visa Day" were cut with the QuicKutz tool. Without access to a QuicKutz, you could also use the "create-a-title" letters. The writing on the dark blue paper was done with a silver gel pen.
I find it ironic that in my original plan for this page, I was going to do an American theme, using red, white and blue accents. I just decided that the color of Maria's dress and the other hues in the pictures warranted complimentary page colors. |
