I loved doing this page! I achieved a really neat effect by cutting a frame out of the middle of a sheet of black cardstock and placing the map paper behind it. Then, I used pop dots to create a 3D look, kind of like a window or shadow box.
The text for this page was printed on vellum and cropped to fit the space. The "Guatemala" die cut and the laser cuts of a palm tree and parrot frame the shadow box and then the toucan and worry dolls help to accent the pagea long with the mountain die cuts along the bottom. The "Central America" part was cropped from the original sheet of paper. |
